FirstNetME members help gear up for class and tabletop excercise

FirstNet ME team members Elissa Tracey and David McCarron assisted the Maine Rural Waters Assn. prepare for an upcoming class sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency that will discuss one of the most challenging environmental health emergencies to occur in the US over the past decade; the 2014 chemical spill in West Virginia?s Elk River. Using the event as a case study, the discussion will focus on the valuable lessons to be learned from the spill, including a dialogue on the potential for similar incidents occurring in Maine. The event will be followed by a tabletop exercise and will be held on February 2, 2016 at the Topsham Public Safety Building in Topsham, Maine. For more information please visit mainerwa.org .
